Teac unveils TN-180BT Bluetooth turntable for record lovers
Teac has announced the TN-180BT Bluetooth record player as an exclusive item for purchase from its online store in Japan. The turntable comes in a black, white, or cherry MDF cabinet with an MSRP of 27,280 yen (~$180).
The belt-driven turntable supports playback of 33-1/3, 45, and 78 rpm records with automatic return of the tonearm. The player can transmit music over Bluetooth 5.2 connections using the standard SBC audio codec to wireless headphones, speakers, and home audio components. The internal amplifier also allows the player to be connected to wired home audio components using standard RCA cables.
The TN-180BT uses a VM-type AT3600L cartridge with a 0.6 mil conical diamond needle mounted on a 200 mm balanced straight tonearm. The DC motor drive keeps wow and flutter under 0.25%, and the circuitry reproduces audio with a signal-to-noise ratio above 64 dB (A-weighted, 20 kHz low-pass filter). The turntable measures 420 x 105 x 356 mm (16.5 x 4.1 x 14.0 in.) and weighs 4.9 kg (10.8 lbs.).
