Sony updates E and C series of notebooks

New E and C series announced by Sony come in a range of colorful options

Sony’s laptops are some of the brightest and most colorful laptops out there, and now they’re receiving a couple new colors. The new E and C series announced by Sony will come in a variety of colors and also offer an AMD processing option for the E series.

Sony C Series

The Sony C series of notebooks will come in either a 14” model or a 15.5” model. Both models come with up to a Core i5 Sandy Bridge processor, up to a 1GB HD 6630 AMD graphics card, and up to 8GB of RAM. The only difference between the two appears to be that the 15.5” model comes with up to a Full HD display with a 1920x1800 pixel resolution, while the 14” model tops out at a resolution of 1600x900 pixels. Also, The 14” model should last 9 hours per charge while the 15.5 incher lasts up to 8 hours.

As for the bright colors, notebooks purchased later this month can be painted in Neon Red and Thunder Blue shades or any of the previously available colors. All models should be available for pre-sale on June 19th for a starting price of $730.

Sony E Series

The second set of notebooks announced by Sony is the E series which comes in 14”, 15.5” and 17.3” sizes. The E series can be customized with Core i3 or Core i5 Sandy Bridge CPUs along with an AMD E-350 Fusion offering. Furthermore, the 17.3” laptop will come in Charcoal Black and Glacier White while the 14.4” and 15.5” laptops will feature Midnight Blue and Bluish Pink hues as well.

Just like the C series, the E series pre-sale begins on June 19th where the starting price should be around $550.
