Segway has unveiled the Ninebot KickScooter D series. Three electric scooters are in the range, travelling up to 24 miles (38 km) between charges.

Segway-Ninebot has revealed a lineup of three new e-scooters, the Ninebot KickScooter D Series. The models have different slope climbing abilities, with climbing angles from 10 to 20% and maximum travel distances ranging from 11-24 miles (18-38 km).

The KickScooters are lightweight, weighing 220-254 lbs (100-120 kg). Plus, the gadget is collapsible, with ‘ultra durable’ tyres enabling the scooter to cope with various terrains. Each scooter has three modes: standard, sports and eco. The maximum speed for the vehicles is 25 kph (15.5 mph).

The scooters feature a red and black design, they come with a phone holder, and a full-color LED dashboard display through which you can customize the scooter's settings.

The models have battery capacities up to 367 Wh and take between 3.5 to 6.5 hours to charge. Each device has an Electronic Anti-lock Braking System (E-ABS) with front and rear brakes. The scooter also has a 2.1 W LED headlight, plus brake and rear lights.

You can now pre-order the KickScooter D series if you live in Europe, with a free accessory for these early customers. The scooters start at ~US$392 (€359) and are expected to begin shipping later this month. It is not clear when the scooters will be available elsewhere.
