The next member of the Samsung Galaxy Buds series might launch as the series' first ever Core variant, according to a new leak.
They might be pitched as replacements for (or even lower-tier alternatives to) the Galaxy Buds FE, which can be found for just $44.99 on Amazon right now.
That theory is mostly based on the obvious parallel between the alleged next-gen Galaxy Buds and smartphones such as the Galaxy A03 Core, which currently goes for $69.99 on Amazon.
In addition, their only render to date suggests that they will have the exact same integrated ear-hook form-factor as the Galaxy Buds FE, in a profoundly standard white colorway.
Their allegedly upcoming Core counterparts pack larger batteries, however, according to documentation linked to the safety regulator Nemko. The earphones themselves are backed to launch with 100mAh apiece on board, whereas the Buds FE are rated for 60mAh each.
The Buds Core case is also believed to be an even 500mAh, as opposed to 479mAh in the Buds FE.
The former are also believed to have the model number SM-R410, which has been spotted in new Bureau of Indian Standards listings, not to mention a support webpage posted by the OEM itself in the same country.
Accordingly, the Galaxy Buds Core might indeed become new sub-flagship Samsung wireless earbuds to watch out for in that market soon.
