Raspberry Pi re-releases Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with new version

Earlier this year, Raspberry Pi confirmed that it would be relaunching the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B (curr. $72.99 on Amazon) with a new version. Referred to as a 'Rev 1.5' board, the new Raspberry Pi 4 Model B distinguished itself from existing variants with a second RAM chip on its underside. Another identifier is the 'Raspberry Pi 2025' screen-print on the SBC's topside.
Now, the company has announced the release of the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with 3 GB of RAM. Available globally, the 3 GB RAM edition retails for $83.75 for a 16% discount on the new 4 GB RAM pricing. At this stage, Raspberry Pi has not elaborated further on the make-up of this 3 GB variant.
Potentially, Raspberry Pi could be sourcing lesser-used 3 GB RAM modules. The arrival of this version after February's announcement indicates that this new Raspberry Pi 4 Model B release is the first Rev 1.5 board. Thus, we suspect that this 3 GB release combines rarer 1.5 GB modules or 1 GB and 2 GB modules to create 3 GB of RAM. Please see Raspberry Pi's website for more details.
