Anbernic will be releasing the RG35XX Pro in a few days. For reference, the company has already revealed when its next 3.5-inch gaming handheld will be available and its surprisingly low launch price. Now, it has returned to the RG Slide, whose existence it officially acknowledged only last week.
Initially, Anbernic merely showed the device from the front and back. This time, it has showcased the device's control layout, which includes a large d-pad and recessed joysticks that appear to be on the small side. In-line triggers can also be made out, which will probably offer a relatively low travel experience.
Moreover, the RG Slide will line up with a 4.7-inch LTPS IPS display sourced from BOE. Allegedly customised by Anbernic in one or another, the sub-5-inch display outputs at 1,280 x 960 pixels with 60 Hz, 90 Hz and 120 Hz refresh rate modes. On top of that, the small panel provides a 1,200:1 contrast ratio, 500 nits peak brightness and multi-touch support with full OCA lamination to reduce reflections.
Anbernic adds that the RG Slide is capable of emulating up to Nintendo Wii games, which sounds like the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 out of the RG557 (curr. $339 on Amazon). To that end, the RG Slide will run Android rather than Anbernic's Linux distribution. Please see the video below for more
