Oppo A94 5G: The mid-range for the mid-range

The Oppo A94 5G is offered for a price of just under 400 Euros (~$484). In return, it's equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 800U, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage. The ARM Mali-G57 MP3 graphics unit is responsible for rendering image content.

A bright 6.43-inch AMOLED display ensures vivid colors and an excellent contrast ratio. In addition, there's support for 5G, a dual-SIM slot that allows the simultaneous use of a microSD card, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

A quad-camera setup also allows for decent snapshots that are of good quality and definitely suitable for everyday use. Only the macro sensor proves to be redundant in practice.

System performance is sufficient to execute all daily tasks effortlessly and also offers resources for games. However, the latter have to be run at reduced detail levels if they have high graphics performance requirements.

When held in the hand, the A94 5G convinces with its low weight and very slim build. However, the aforementioned aspects are also present in many current competitors. Nevertheless, the A94 5G showed a better utilization of its 4,000 mAh battery among our chosen comparison devices.

The Oppo A94 5G lacks a genuine unique selling point, but that isn't a problem at all. Because where other smartphones accumulate one or two additional negative points, Oppo's device can only be criticized for its lack of differentiation from the competition.
