OPPO launches a 4G/LTE version of the Reno3 globally
The Reno3 smartphone was released earlier with the MediaTek Dimensity 1000L SoC, which made it a 5G device. Now, its maker OPPO has announced a 2nd version of this phone with a Helio P90 processor instead. Otherwise, the phone comes with the same specs as the original.
OPPO has launched a Global Version of its third-generation Reno smartphone. The OEM has replaced one MediaTek processor for another in this device: the new sub-flagship Dimensity 1000L has been switched for the Helio G90. This means the Reno3's new variant has no 5G capabilities.
On the other hand, the phone's specs remain the same as on its original December 2019 launch. This includes its 4025mAh battery and 6.4-inch FHD display. In addition, this panel's waterdrop notch houses a 44MP selfie camera.
The Reno3 Global Version will come in Midnight Black or Auroral Blue colorways on its release. It runs ColorOS 7, has 8GB of RAM, which is paired to 128 or 256GB storage options. Then again, OPPO has yet to mention where this phone will be sold, or what price it will be. For reference, the 5G variant started at 3399 yuan (~US$485).

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
