Vietnam might develop into a hub for Nvidia's chip research and manufacturing. The local media reports that the company intends to establish a legal entity in the country.

Nvidia is reportedly considering Vietnam as a potential “second home”, with plans to establish a formal presence in the country. This follows an announcement by the company's CEO, Jensen Huang, who revealed that Nvidia will be opening a centre in Vietnam.

Huang made the announcement on Monday, during a semiconductor and AI conference in Hanoi. While he did not provide details about the specific technologies that will be housed in the center, his statement suggests that the company is committed to expanding its presence in Vietnam.

Nvidia's expansion plans in Vietnam align with its global strategy to establish a strong presence in key markets around the world. The company has already made a $250 million investment in the country.

As a result of the trade tensions between the US and China, Vietnam has emerged as a key player in the global semiconductor industry. The country is home to several large chip assembly factories, including the world's largest Intel factory. With the potential for chip designing and manufacturing also on the horizon, Vietnam is poised to become a major player in the industry.

The Acer Nitro 5 is a gaming laptop powered by the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 chip, Intel 12th Gen i7 processor, and with 1 TB of storage. It is now available on Amazon at a 23% discount for $999.99.
