Notion Ink updates: new thumb keyboard and Honeycomb on cards

Teaser
A possible Honeycomb update is on the cards, but we still have time

The Notion Ink Adam, when unveiled, attracted a lot of rumors thanks to its unique design, powerful configuration and an exclusive product brand image. It took so long to actually come out that the then powerful looking configuration now looks pretty pale in front of some of today’s best tablets. Take for example; the Notion Ink still strives on Gingerbread when the first tablet-specific Honeycomb tablet came out way back in February (Motorola Xoom). As a latest blog post from Rohan Shravan states on the Notion Ink blog – Honeycomb might be coming to the gadget after all. There is no certainty on the availability but it is expected only after Icecream Sandwich is released in the market – and that is some time we have here!

Rohan mentions that their Honeycomb project is heavily borrowed from that of the TabletROMs and a bit from that of BeastROM, due to which Notion Ink Honeycomb update is dependent on the above developers. He says there are still a few holes to fill as far as the above mentioned ROMs are concerned.

There is some good news though – the company has tied up with Beansoft, a computer accessory maker, to release a Notion Ink Adam SE Thumb Keyboard. All users who upgrade their devices to next version will be able to use the trial version of the Thumb Keyboard. Again no availability and pricing were mentioned. In fact the accessories page is not active as well.

By the way, the Adam has got a new boot screen. Check out below -
