Nothing Ear (3) launch as new AirPods Pro 3 competitor with longer battery life

The Nothing Ear (3) have been fully detailed by the company. As a new competitor to the Apple AirPods Pro 3, these wireless earbuds bring multiple improvements over the last-gen model. One of the big highlights is the battery, which stands at up to 38 hours with the charging case, up from the 36-hour rating of the predecessors.

As for the earbuds themselves, they pack an "improved" 55 mAh battery, which promises up to 10 hours of audio playback. The charging case has support for quick charging, and Nothing promises up to 10 hours of playtime with just a 10-minute charge. There's support for wireless charging as well (Baseus 3-in-1 wireless charging stand curr. $59.99 on Amazon).

Audio-wise, Nothing highlights the refined 12 mm dynamic driver of the Ear (3). It's said to feature a structured membrane that's capable of delivering distortion-free sound. The new wireless earbuds also come with Static Spatial Audio support, which is said to provide 3D immersive sound.

Nothing further notes that the Ear (3) have a revised design, which sticks to the signature transparent theme but promises to offer enhanced comfort and better listening experience than the predecessors.

Another notable highlight of the new wireless earbuds is what the company calls the Super Mic. It's described as a dual-microphone setup that comes with "Environmental filtering," promising to block ambient noise by up to 95 dB for clear conversations. This feature can be enabled through the newly added Talk button on the charging case.

Other highlights of the Nothing Ear (3) include 45 dB ANC, Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC, and IP54 certifications for both the buds and the case. The wireless earbuds will be available to pre-order on September 19, 2025, and in the EU, they will go for €179.
