Gigabyte: Introducing the new G-Style T1005M convertible tablet PC

The 10.1-inch mini-laptop by Gigabyte features the new Intel Atom Dual Core Processor N550
The Taiwan-based company, Gigabyte, recently launched their newest netbook – the G-Style T1005M. The device can be used either as a mini laptop or as a tablet and comes with a multi-touch screen that can be rotated. Among other features are the Intel Atom Dual Core Processor N550, a USB 3.0 port and Windows 7 Home Premium.
Configuration
This mini portable PC reportedly sports an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 graphics controller (ranked 240 on our GPU Benchmarklist) which has 200MHz core speed and fully supports DirectX 9c. In addition, the new G-Style T1005M netbook features an LED-backlit, TFT-LCD multi-touch widescreen which is 10.1 inches in diagonal and has a native resolution of 1366-by-768. The display is also HD-ready.
Gigabyte’s new convertible laptop is supposedly equipped with 2GB of internal DDR3 memory and 320GB rotating SATA hard drive (HDD).
The Tablet PC is claimed to be powered by Intel’s new Atom Dual Core N550 CPU (ranked 298 on our CPU Benchmarklist). The central processing unit is clocked at 1.5GHz and has 1MB of L2 cache.
Connectivity
The new G-Style T1005M reportedly features Ethernet LAN, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n module and a 3.5G antenna which allow consumers to connect to the Internet. Users can also take advantage of the built-in Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR adapter. File transfer is easily achieved and quite fast with the help of the two USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 ports (8x faster than previous version) as well as the 4-in-1 card reader.
Consumers can also make video calls as this ultraportable mini-laptop comes with integrated 1.3MP web camera, microphone and two 1.5W speakers.
Other specs and pricing
G-Style T1005M ships with a 6-cell 7650mAh Li-ion battery and with it the netbook reportedly weighs merely 1.48kg (or approximately 3.26lb). Also included is a pre-installed copy of Windows 7 Home Premium that powers the whole system.
Currently, this mini laptop is only available in Australia and it costs AUD 905 (about US $803 or €633).
