Casio's newest black-tone full-metal flagship models - which were officially revealed a few days ago - are now officially to buy in Japan, but the GMW-B5000BT is unfortunately out of stock. The lineup features both the classic square and octagonal "CasiOak" styles - more specifically, it includes the GMW-B5000BT-1JF, GM-B2100BT-1AJF, and GMC-B2100BT-1AJF, all of which come with full stainless steel cases and bracelets, silver and black accented finishes, as well as the trademark shock resistance and water resistance to 200 meters.
The GMW-B5000BT-1JF has an all-black digital display in a classic square case. It combines a mirrored and ion-plated silver bezel, resembling the original "DW-5000C" but with solar charging, Bluetooth connectivity, and radio sync. However, as mentioned earlier, consumers have already snapped it up - this model has sold out on Casio’s Japanese web store on launch day. Unsurprisingly, there is high demand for the square full-metal variants.
The GM-B2100BT-1AJF is the octagonal all-metal CasiOak shape in the same black-on-silver styling. This edition has the analog-digital hybrid layout, solar and Bluetooth functionality, and smartphone-link features. It is currently available to purchase online, as is the even more advanced GMC-B2100BT-1AJF. The latter introduces a full-metal chronograph to the CasiOak range for the first time - lending it a layered and detailed dial but with the same metallic build, Bluetooth, and solar technology.
Each watch is crafted in Yamagata, Japan, and uses resin-based cushioning inside multi-part metal cases for shock resistance. Both square and octagonal models feature dimpled finishing on the bracelet and use a screw back for airtightness and rigidity. Prices range from ¥88,000 for the GMW-B5000BT-1JF and GM-B2100BT-1AJF to ¥107,800 for the GMC-B2100BT-1AJF.
