Megabook S16: Light 16-inch laptop with Core i9 and AI features revealed
Computex 2025Following the launch of the 1.98-lbs Tecno Megabook S14, which is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite, Tecno has now launching the new Megabook S16 at Computex. Even though both laptops are part of the same product line, the S14 and S16 aren’t similar for the most part.
The Megabook S16 is powered by an Intel Core i9-13900HK, which has six performance cores with boost clock speeds of up to 5.4GHz and eight efficiency cores. The integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 is not suitable for full-fledged gaming, and Tecno has opted against a dedicated graphics card. Although the Core i9-13900HK doesn't have a particularly fast NPU, the Megabook S16 supports numerous AI features based on DeepSeek V3. For instance, it can summarize or translate texts, locate photos and identify duplicates, and even generate transcripts of video chats. Tecno emphasizes that the company has developed many of these AI features in-house.
Tecno pairs the processor with 16 or 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and an SSD with a capacity of up to 2TB. Furthermore, the Megabook S16 sports an aluminum chassis that's 0.59 inches thin and weighs 2.87 lbs. Despite the moderately efficient Intel processor, the 75Wh battery is expected to last up to 11 hours on a full charge. In terms of display, the 16-inch laptop relies on a 16-inch IPS panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and full sRGB color space coverage.
Price and availability
Thus far, Tecno has not revealed the official list price or release date of the new Megabuck S16.
