Insane levels of speed, a beautiful 1080p panel, a solid chassis and the SteelSeries mechanical keyboard are all amazing, but the heat and noise levels ruin the experience sadly.

Model: The MSI GT75 Titan 8RG-201UK is currently MSI's most powerful 17-inch gaming laptop in the market. Let's see what you can get with MSI's powerhouse that comes with an exorbitant price tag. For starters, MSI equipped their latest gaming laptop with a 6-core-12-threads 2.9 GHz Intel i9-8950HK CPU, the all-powerful processor that comes with 4.8 GHz boost clock. This CPU can provide a crazy amount of computing power, that is if the chassis can maintain a stable and cool temperature. It shouldn't be a problem for this titan because of its massive built. This laptop also comes with 32 GB of RAM and the powerful GTX 1080 GPU. For its jaw-dropping price-tag, the MSI GT75 Titan 8RG-201UK also comes with a 1920 x 1080p Full HD 120Hz G-Sync monitor, a SteelSeries mechanical backlit keyboard and a set of powerful speakers that include two 3 W Speaker and a 5 W Woofer. Weighing at 4.5 kg, this titan is definitely not the easiest to lug around. The GT75 Titan 8RG-201UK comes with two power adapters because of the power-hungry i9 CPU and GTX 1080 graphics card. The laptop also has an SD card reader, six USB 3.1 ports, four 3.5 mm audio jacks, a Kensington Lock, an HDMI 2.0 port, a Mini Display Port, a Thunderbolt port, and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
Now, let's move on to the aesthetics of the laptop. First of all, the MSI GT75 Titan 8RG-201UK looks as premium as its outrageous price-tag. The laptop comes in black color, with red accents and a huge MSI symbol on the middle of the lid. On top of the monitor, there is a 1080p 30 fps webcam and a built-in mic for video conferences. As mentioned, the MSI GT75 Titan 8RG-201UK comes with a SteelSeries keyboard. It is really impressive that MSI was able to fit a full-size mechanical keyboard into a laptop. The keyboard also comes with a full-color backlight, and so you can personalize it from millions of colors. As for the companion trackpad, the laptop has one molded directly onto the framework. At the right-hand side of the laptop, there are five buttons with its own function. The power button is at the top-most, and it switches on with a red light. The next button lets the user choose between the more powerful NVIDIA GPU or the shared Intel GPU. Another button lets the user increase the fan speed to the max level, and the next one is to launch the X-Split function. The last button enables the user to customize the keyboard's backlight configuration. The bottom of the laptop was designed with cooling capabilities in mind. With the large chassis and the many powerful fans, the GT75 Titan 8RG-201UK should be able to maintain a stable and cooling thermal performance. It is an important point to note due to the heat generated by both the i9 CPU and GTX 1080 GPU. This powerhouse titan may be extremely expensive, but with the i9 CPU and the GTX 1080 GPU, it certainly can take on any tasks, gaming or otherwise.

75%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
