Lenovo is geared to release its first Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 device shortly. The Lenovo Legion Y70 has been confirmed to debut on August 13 as a mid-year replacement for the Legion Y90. Marketing images and specs of the performance-focused phone have also leaked ahead of that date.

Lenovo launched the gaming-focused Legion Y90 earlier in the year with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The company is set to revisit the lineup and has confirmed the imminent launch of a new device, the Legion Y70. 

The Lenovo Legion Y70 will make its debut on August 13. and looks ready to be another gaming-oriented device, with the Chinese company marketing it as a "beast". Images appearing to be press renders of the Legion Y70 have also surfaced online, revealing the phone's striking design. Notable takeaways include a vertically stacked triple camera setup at the phone's rear, flat iPhone-esque edges, and a thickness of 7.99mm. 

Details of the Lenovo Legion Y70 have leaked as well, courtesy of Digital Chat Station. Supposedly, the phone will sport a 6.67-inch FHD+ 144 Hz OLED, a 16 MP selfie camera, a 50 MP main camera, a 5000 mAh battery, 68 W charging, and a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The Legion Y70 will make its debut on August 13 in China, but it's unlikely it ever gets sold outside its home market.
