Lenovo's Essential G560 laptop works well in some ways but falls short in others. This model powered by the Intel Pentium dual core processor and priced between $550 and $600 makes a bit too many sacrifices compared to slightly more expensive models. Those willing to spend a bit more can get a Core i3 processor, eSATA port and HDMI.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: Onboard (shared Memory) GPU built in the GM45, GE45 and GS45 chipset (Montevina). Because of two more shaders and a higher core clock, much faster than the old GMA X3100. Still not advisable for gamers (DirectX 10 games not playable or only with very low settings). The integrated video processor is able to help decode HD videos (AVC/VC-2/MPEG2) , e.g., for a fluent Blu-Ray playback with slow CPUs.
Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

P6100: The Pentium P6100 is an entry level CPU based on the Arrandale core. Compared to the Celeron P4600, the P6100 offers a bit better performance due to the faster System Bus and an increased Level 3 cache. However nowadays, more and more 16:9 displays with 15.6 inch appear.
