Lecoo Fighter G1: Lenovo intros new smart glasses with Snapdragon AR1

There is a new pair of smart glasses in Lenovo's product portfolio, the Lecoo Fighter G1. They feature the Snapdragon AR1, which Qualcomm launched in late 2023 for next-gen smart glasses with MR capabilities. This SoC brings on-glass AI features with its 3rd Gen Hexagon NPU.

Going back to the new Lenovo smart glasses, they have what the company calls the "Tianxi super intelligence" system. This on-glass multi-modal AI assistant can offer AI translation, has image recognition capabilities, and sports AI dialogue enhancement features. For capturing images and videos, the wearable has the Sony IMX681, which supports DNN (Deep Neural Network).

Powering the whole system is a 173 mAh battery. Lenovo says that this capacity is enough for 4 hours of heavy use (compact INIU 22.5 W 10K power bank curr. $20.95 on Amazon). As for the build, the Lecoo Fighter G1 have a half-frame design, making the new smart glasses weigh only 38 grams. While they are lightweight, the company claims that the wearable is durable enough to handle everyday abuse.

For connectivity, the new smart glasses feature Bluetooth 5.3 and WiFi 6. Lenovo highlights that the Lecoo Fighter G1 can connect to multiple devices while keeping the latency low. There's a 5-microphone array, which has noise reduction, voice wake-up, and echo removal features.

Currently, Lenovo is taking pre-orders for the new smart glasses. In China, they have a pre-sale price of CNY 1,999, which converts to about $277. The company has yet to announce details on global availability and pricing.
