Motorola's Moto G Stylus phones cater to those who want a budget smartphone with stylus support. However, a few years ago, Motorola decided to bring stylus support to its more premium models with the Motorola Edge+ (2022), albeit with an active stylus that needed to be purchased separately. Sadly, it was a one-time decision as subsequent models since then lack stylus support.
Now, new info has surfaced, hinting at the release of a new Motorola Edge smartphone with stylus support, and judging from the name, it seems it will have an integrated stylus like the Moto G Stylus 2024 (curr. available on Amazon for $249.99).
The source of the news comes from famed leaker, Evan Blass, whose post on X reads Motorola Edge 60 Stylus sounds interesting, no?
, and it seems to be a tease at the existence of a Motorola Edge smartphone with stylus support, particularly an integrated one like that of the Moto G Stylus (2023).
Little is known about the features and specs of the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus. However, it will be interesting to know if its stylus will be a simple capacitive one like the one of the Moto G Stylus models or a Bluetooth stylus, although the latter may result in the device costing a bit more.
Nevertheless, the prospect of a new stylus-toting smartphone is exciting. It will also be nice if the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus is available widely unlike the Moto G Stylus models that have mainly been exclusive to the US. Interestingly, Motorola is yet to announce the Moto G Stylus (2025); what are the chances it is the same phone as the Motorola Edge 60 Stylus but with different names for different markets?
