Latest WhatsApp iOS beta allows changing app theme color

It seems WhatsApp may finally enable the users to change the main appearance of the app. As reported by WABetaInfo, there’s a new feature on the iOS beta 24.1.10.70, which is not yet available for regular beta testers. Instead, it was discovered through the TestFlight beta Program submission with a TestFlight build 24.1.10.

Nonetheless, the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo shows that users can choose colors from a pallet to customize the UI elements across the app. The previous WhatsApp beta update, which had a build version 23.21.1.70, introduced a green tint color that the beta testers did not go onboard with.

WhatsApp has apparently taken the feedback from the beta testers, which has likely made it introduce the main branding color customization options. The new feature will enable users to select one theme color from five options, opening the doors for experimentation to find out which works best.

There’s no official word on when this WhatsApp feature will make its way to the stable version. But the update should be available to beta testers soon. The messenger app is also working to introduce several other features, which include a group chat filter, the ability to search by username, a music-sharing feature for video calls, and more.
