Just as rumored, the next-gen LG flagship launches in time for MWC, but everything is official now. The launch event has been scheduled for February 26, in Barcelona, one day before the popular trade show for the mobile industry opens its gates.
After a long stream of rumors, we finally know the day when LG unveils its next-gen flagship. The South Korean company has just sent out media invites to a press event that is scheduled on February 26, in Barcelona. This year's Mobile World Congress kicks off one day later, so the products unveiled during this even should be present at the show.
The invite mentioned above shows the shape of a smartphone and comes with the "See More, Play More" tagline. The press release that comes with the invite also reveals a few details, including the presence of enhanced AI, heat pipes for better cooling, as well as the fact that the LG G6 has to go through "higher than international standards" quality tests.
While LG still has to unveil the specs of the upcoming device, the rumors we heard so far revealed quite a few so far - Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, 6 GB RAM, dual camera setup, as well as Android 7.0 Nougat with LG's customizations on top.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I've been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
