LG G3 to arrive on May 27
LG G2 was announced last August and became available in mid-September, succeeding the Optimus G. Now it looks like the successor of LG's current flagship handset will arrive on May 27, when LG will hold a media event in San Francisco, New York, and London. One day later, a similar event is scheduled to take place in Singapore, Istanbul, and Seoul.
The invitation does not mention anything about the LG G3 but since this appears to be a global scale launch, there is little room for doubt about that. These media events will have a tagline by Ralph Waldo Emerson that reads: "To be simple is to be great."
The LG G Watch smartwatch could also appear next to the new flagship at the launch events next month, thus compensating for the G3's late arrival. The Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8 are already in shops, but only the S5 comes with a smartwatch companion. According to an analyst quoted by CNET, LG is "late to the party" with this launch, but this remains to be seen.
