Haylou unveils a new smartwatch with IP68 certification, a SpO2 sensor and Bluetooth 5.0 support
Haylou is known for releasing particularly affordable smartwatches, which it distributes through Xiaomi's Xiaomi Youpin platform. Earlier this year, the company announced the RS3, a 1.2-inch smartwatch that started at under ~US$70. Now, it is on the verge of bringing the LS10 to market, also referred to as the Haylou RT2.
The Haylou RT2 appeared on the FCC last month, so we expect Haylou to sell the device globally. According to Haylou, the RT2 should last up to 7 days between charges on a 220 mAh battery, which recharges at 500 mA. This estimate includes the smartwatch's heart rate monitor being on all day, for reference.
Additionally, the smartwatch is IP68 certified and supports Bluetooth 5.0 for Android 6.0 and iOS 11 compatibility. The RT2 syncs with smartphones via the Haylou Fun app, so you must have this installed to take advantage of the smartwatch's features.
The RT2 measures 45.7 x 42.6 x 11.6 mm and weighs 38 g. Besides the heart rate tracker, Haylou has also included a SpO2 sensor to monitor blood oxygen levels, although it has not indicated how accurate the smartwatch interprets this data. A dozen exercise modes will be available, too.
Haylou will launch the RT2 in September on AliExpress. The smartwatch is expected to cost $49.99 and will be available with protective cases, as Walmart has already listed.
