Garmin has been providing plenty of smartwatches with new updates lately, whether that be the flagship Fenix 8 Pro or the budget Garmin Bounce. Now, the company has returned to the Venu X1 (curr. $699.99 on Amazon), an unusual departure from the rest of the Venu series that it released in June.
Recently, Garmin has confined new Venu X1 builds to its stable software channel. To recap, Software Version 12.74 remains the most recent stable update for the Venu X1. However, Garmin has now kicked off v15.xx development on its Beta Program, starting with Beta 15.05.
Typically, Garmin packs the first update in a new development cycle full of new features, bug fixes and other associated improvements. This time though, the company only includes two lines in its official changelog.
Nonetheless, it has bundled various bug fixes and improvements into one line, albeit without elaborating further. Similarly, Beta 15.05 adds three new watch faces. Garmin's latest beta must be downloaded manually on Venu X1 smartwatches that have been enrolled on the company's Beta Program. Please see Garmin's forum post for more details.
