Deal | Free on Steam until June 23: Gravity-based platformer worth $4.99 is now 100% off

A little indie gem is flying under the radar right now, and it's completely free to own - but not for long. ROTA: Bend Gravity, an atmospheric puzzle-platformer with a quirky gravity-rotation mechanic, is currently free to keep on Steam. Come June 23, the game will be priced at $4.99 (read the developer's update here).
Released back in May 2022 by solo developer Harmony Monroe, ROTA is a side-scrolling platformer where players rotate gravity by walking off edges. The game features 50 collectible gems, eight brightly-colored worlds, and plenty of block-pushing, pulling, and gravity puzzles. The art style is intentionally cute and simple, backed by a relaxed ambient soundtrack. It’s designed to be calming but still manages to challenge your puzzle-solving skills as the levels progress.
Though it doesn't have thousands of reviews, the ones that exist are broadly positive. Players describe it as deceptively clever, with some even calling later stages "brain-melting." It’s open source too, which is rare for Steam games in general. Steam user reviews praise its level design, quirky presentation, and the meditative rhythm of gameplay once you settle into its unique mechanics.
There's no monetization or DLC here, just a free game that will soon cost money. Anyone who installs and plays ROTA: Bend Gravity before the June 23 deadline will own it permanently. Check the game out here.
