Microsoft is currently readying four new Lumia smartphones to launch alongside the Windows 10 operating system, including two flagship-class and two mid-range devices.

Microsoft is reportedly going to launch four new Lumia smartphones at the same time as the new operating system, Windows 10.

The high-end devices, Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL are going to be equipped with 5- and 5.7-inch screens, respectively. There is no word about the specific components to be used yet. What we do know, is that they will receive the highly-acclaimed PureView, 24-megapixel cameras. The front cam is supposed to feature at least a 5-megapixel sensor.

More interestingly, the new flagship Lumias will sport some brand new funcionalities, like an iris scanner, native stylus support and an additional camera for 3D interaction of some sort (no specifics here yet as well).

The more affordable models, Lumia 740 and Lumia 840 are both expected to come with 5-inch screens and replace the Lumia 730 and Lumia 830 models. The Lumia 840 will reportedly receive a 13 MP PureView camera and the 740 an 8 MP one. There are also rumours that the 740 model will come in an XL (5.5- or 5.7-inch) variant as well. As with the flagships, no information on more detailed specifications is available at this time.
