Deal | Epic Games Store: New free game giveaway now available on Android and iOS but only for a short time
The Epic Games Store has launched its latest round of free game giveaways for PC users in a continuation of its popular weekly promotion. While its PC giveaway may grab more attention, the storefront has also updated its mobile game service with a new title.
Like last week, Epic Games has decided to bring one of its PC giveaways to its mobile service. To recap, the storefront discounted Happy Game last week in a combined deal worth $11.98 across Android and iOS. This week, mobile users can claim Gigapocalypse by Headup GmbH and Goody Gameworks, which the latter describes as a chaotic, punk-inspired homage to classic monster movies.
Valued at $1.98 on both platforms, Gigapocalypse is available for free on Android and iOS through the Epic Games Store mobile store until around 15:00 UTC on May 29. Please note that Epic typically refreshes its mobile giveaway after its official end time passes. As always, one can claim this week's game via Epic's mobile app or a desktop browser using the store's instant checkout link. However, iOS users can only install the Epic Games Mobile app if they live in the European Union.
