EcoFlow's new Rapid Pro Desktop Charger is a 5-port desktop GaN charger capable of charging up to six devices simultaneously. Based on its design and features, it is clear it is a challenger to Anker's 250W Prime Charger, and by the end of this article, there is a clear winner.
The Rapid Pro Desktop Charger has a total power output of 320W. It has five USB ports which include four USB-C ports and a USB-A port. However, as stated above, it can charge six devices simultaneously and that's because of the pogo pins at the top which can be used to charge the Rapid Pro X Power Bank and the Rapid Pro power bank series.
Like the Anker 250W Prime Charger, ECoFlow's charger also has a display but it's larger at 3.02 inches compared to the 2.26-inch display on the Anker. The screen can display charging information, time, and different animations. And like the screen of the Rapid Pro X Power Bank, the display can be customized using the companion app while the knob on the side can be used to cycle through the display and adjust charging settings.
The C1 and C2 ports on the Rapid Pro Desktop Charger both have a maximum power output of 140W while the C2 port has a max power output of 65W. The C4 port and the USB-A port both have a max power output of 30W. However, the pogo pins have a max power output of 320W. The power output will vary based on the number of devices connected to the charger and how much power they are able to draw.
EcoFlow says the Rapid Pro Desktop Charger is capable of charging multiple laptops at once and can also be used to charge smartphones, cameras, headphones, handhelds, and smartwatches. The Rapid Pro Desktop Charger is priced at €159.99, but those who pre-order between today and July 18 can get it for €139.99. It is available to pre-order on EcoFlow's website and on Amazon.
For comparison, the Anker 250W Prime Charger has a launch price of €159.99 in Europe and $169.99 in the US, but it is currently available on Amazon for $119.99.
