Dell UltraSharp 27-inch U2723QE and 31.5-inch U3223QE: World's first IPS Black monitors with 2000:1 contrast ratio, DisplayHDR 400, and Auto KVM

Dell has now made available the previously announced UltraSharp U2723QE and U3223QE 4K monitors today. These monitors offer a host of connectivity features with a USB-C hub and support wide color gamuts and DisplayHDR 400. The Dell UltraSharp U2723QE and U3223QE are the world's monitors to feature LG's new IPS Black technology that offers a 2,000:1 contrast ratio.

Dell announced two new UltraSharp monitors today — the UltraSharp 27-inch U2723QE and the UltraSharp 31.5-inch U3223QE. Both U2723QE and U3223QE are 4K monitors with a USB-C hub and support for DisplayHDR 400. 

The UltraSharp 27 and 31.5-inch monitors were actually announced back in February this year as the world's first monitors to feature LG's new IPS Black technology. IPS Black promises a contrast ratio of 2,000:1, which is about twice that of conventional IPS panels.

The monitors offer a virtually borderless InfinityEdge viewing experience with a typical brightness of 400 nits. Color gamut support includes 100% sRGB, 100% Rec.709, and 98% DCI-P3 with DisplayHDR 400 certification. As is common with most Dell displays, the new UltraSharp U2723QE and U3223QE feature built-in ComforView Plus for low blue light emissions without affecting color accuracy. Dell provides a joystick for navigating the OSD.

The UltraSharp U2723QE and U3223QE also support Picture-by-Picture, Picture-in-Picture, and KVM/Auto KVM modes that allow connecting two PC inputs and controlling them with a single keyboard and mouse. You can can also daisy-chain two of these 4K monitors thanks to Display Stream Compression (DSC). The OSD is synced across multiple monitors as well.

Dell offers an assortment of connectivity options with the UltraSharp U2723QE and U3223QE displays including USB-C that allows 90 W power delivery and DisplayPort 1.4, RJ 45 Ethernet, 1x DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, 4x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, and 1x HDMI 2.0-out among others (see spec sheet below). 

You also get a height adjustable stand that allows for tilt, swivel, and pivot movements. Dell assures three years of advanced exchange service and premium panel exchange even if only one bright pixel is found. 

The Dell UltraSharp 27-inch U2723QE and UltraSharp U3223QE 31.5-inch 4K USB-C Hub monitors are available now. Prices start from US$724.99 for the U2723QE and US$1,149.99 for the U3223QE.
