Announced in February 2022, the Dell UltraSharp U2723QE monitor became available for purchase in March, with a launch price of US$724.99. At launch, it was one of the two Dell monitors to hit the market as the first ones to feature LG's IPS Black technology. Thanks to it, this monitor delivers superior black performance and a typical contrast ratio of 2000:1. The ongoing 34% Amazon discount pushes the US$779.99 list price down to a more wallet-friendly US$518.
In addition to its IPS Black panel that delivers twice the contrast ratio of its conventional counterparts, this 27-inch 4K UHDmonitor comes with a typical brightness of 400 nits, 60 Hz refresh rate, 5 ms GtG response time, 100% sRGB/100% Rec.709/98% DCI-P3 color gamut. The Dell UltraSharp U2723QE also features ComfortView Plus blue light reduction, Picture-by-Picture, Picture-in-Picture, KVM/Auto KVM modes for connecting two PCs and controlling them with a single mouse/keyboard combo. This DisplayHDR400-certified monitor sports a joystick that is used to control the OSD.
In terms of connectivity, the Dell UltraSharp U2723QE is impressive, providing USB-C with 90 W PD, DP 1.4 (one in, one out), RJ45 Ethernet, 4 X USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A, 3.5 mm audio line out, as well as a single HDMI 2.0 connector. The height-adjustable stand provides a wide range of motion (pivot, swivel, tilt). The U2723QE launched as the first 27-inch 4K monitor to support daisy chaining of an additional 4K display at full resolution via USB-C (with Display Stream Compression).
On Amazon, this monitor is sharing 626 user reviews with two other models. The global rating is 4.4/5, with 71% perfect scores. On the official Dell US product page (linked in the first paragraph), the U2723QE has 923 user reviews and a score of 4.7/5 stars. Dell has it on sale as well, but it only offers a 20% discount, so the aforementioned list price goes down to US$624.99 for those who want to buy from Dell US instead.
In both cases mentioned above, the monitor is covered by Dell's 3-year Limited Hardware Warranty which allows a free panel replacement and, thanks to the Advanced Exchange Service, the replacement is shipped the next business day.
