Game Pass subscribers can look forward to five new additions in the final week of June. Alongside strategy games – including one of the most iconic real-time strategy series ever – the lineup spans multiple genres.

After a quieter phase with just three new titles, Microsoft is picking up the pace for the final week of June, adding five games to Game Pass. Strategy fans are in for a treat: alongside Against the Storm, Warcraft III: Reforged – part of one of the most iconic real-time strategy franchises ever – is joining the lineup. And if strategy isn’t your thing, Volcano Princess might win you over with its unique mix of life simulation, RPG mechanics and visual novel storytelling.

Volcano Princess - June 24 (PC, console and cloud)

In Volcano Princess, players take on the role of a single father living in the fantasy realm of the Volcano Kingdom. After the death of his wife, it’s up to him to raise his daughter and guide her toward an uncertain future. Your choices throughout the game shape her personality, values and ultimate destiny – from a humble life to the possibility of royal succession.

You’ll manage your daughter’s daily schedule, choose her activities and help her develop skills like magic, etiquette and swordsmanship. Volcano Princess blends life simulation, RPG and visual novel elements, with your family’s story unfolding through dialogue, battles and mini-games in a richly detailed world.

Against the Storm - June 26 (console and cloud)

In Against the Storm, you play as a viceroy serving an immortal queen in a dark fantasy world plagued by endless rain. Your task is to build new settlements, manage scarce resources and ensure the survival of multiple species – before the next devastating storm wipes everything away.

Against the Storm blends city-building with roguelite mechanics. You’ll construct settlements for different species – humans, beavers, lizards and harpies – each with their own needs and abilities. Success hinges on building efficient production chains, managing resources wisely and maintaining harmony between the groups. With dynamic weather, approaching storms and unpredictable events, your strategy must constantly evolve. Between runs, you can unlock permanent upgrades that support long-term progress.

Warcraft I - III: Remastered - June 26 (PC)

The Warcraft series helped define the real-time strategy genre. In Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, the first installment, you command human or orc armies, build bases, gather resources and fight for dominance in a dark fantasy world. Tides of Darkness, the second game, expanded the formula with naval battles, new units and a more intricate story – further enriched by the Beyond the Dark Portal expansion. The series reached its peak with Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion The Frozen Throne. Featuring four distinct factions, hero units with special abilities, RPG elements and cinematic campaigns, these titles remain genre-defining milestones to this day.

Good news for real-time strategy fans: all three Warcraft titles are now available in remastered form. Warcraft I and II received official remasters in 2024, featuring HD visuals and a modernized interface. At the same time, Warcraft III: Reforged was significantly improved with Update 2.0, which introduced a revamped UI and a new ranked ladder system. All three games will soon be included with Xbox Game Pass.
