Baseus has launched the Nomos NU1 Air Spacemate 12-in-1 Docking Station for Windows and macOS. The dock incorporates 12 ports, including two HDMI outputs, two Type-C port, and two SD card slots. The Nomos NU1 Air also brings a nifty power saving feature.

After launching the Spacemate 11-in-1 Docking Station for Windows and macOS last year, Baseus has added to the lineup with a new, more affordable option. The new Baseus Nomos NU1 Air Spacemate 12-in-1 Docking Station is now official, with a metal chassis housing 12 ports and a lower price than the Spacemate 11-in-1.

Starting with the chassis, the Nomos NU1 Air Spacemate is rather compact, measuring 65.5 mm wide and 115.5 mm high. The dock features a total of 12 ports, spread across the front and the back. Unlike last year, however, Baseus is only offering one version of the Nomos NU1 Air Spacemate for both Windows machines and Macs.

Looking at the ports, the Baseus Nomos NU1 Air Spacemate features:

  • Two HDMI 4K@60 Hz outputs
  • Two Type-C ports data ports with a 10 Gbps transfer rate
  • Two Type-A connectors with a 5 Gbps data rate
  • Two slower Type-A ports rated for 480 Mbps
  • One 100 W Type-C input port with PD
  • One Ethernet port
  • Two SD/TF card readers

One of our biggest complaints in our hands-on review of the Baseus Spacemate 11-in-1 was that the dock lacked an SD card slot. So, we are happy to see Baseus giving users the option.

However, the inclusion of the SD card slots has coincided with the removal of two display outputs, as the Nomos NU1 Air Spacemate only carries two HDMI ports. So, if you plan to run more than two displays, you’d have to settle for the Spacemate Win/Mac 11-in-1 (Available on Amazon).

The screen-locking button placed on top of the dock has also made a successful return. Pressing the button once puts the connected machine to sleep, while holding it down for two seconds reportedly puts the Nomos NU1 Air Spacemate into “Energy Saving” mode.

Basues claims that the “Energy Saving” mode disconnects all other connectors except the 100 W PD port. So, the dock will keep charging the connected machine without routing power to other connectors.

So, who’s the Baseus Nomos NU1 Air Spacemate 12-in-1 actually for?

The Baseus Nomos NU1 Air Spacemate 12-in-1 seems like a good fit for anyone who wants to use multiple monitors and ports without dealing with a mess of wires. Moreover, gamers who want to connect multiple monitors and peripherals like a keyboard/mouse to their gaming laptop can also find the Nomos NU1 Air Spacemate quite handy.

Starting today, the Baseus Nomos NU1 Air Spacemate 12-in-1 Docking Station will be available in the U.S. on Amazon at a reduced “pre-launch” price. Customers in the EU will also be able to buy the dock at a reduced price on Amazon.de. After the special pre-launch pricing ends, the Nomos NU1 Air Spacemate will seemingly retail for $99.99 / €99.99.
