If you put aesthetics to one side for a second, the N75SF is a pearl. It's quiet to use and has all the functionality you could want (Blu-ray and USB 3.0, wide touchpad). The well-contrasted screen and high performance processor and graphics card give this machine wide-ranging potential.

Sound sensation. Average all-round laptops frequently suffer from poor picture and sound quality. Asus masterly breaks out of routined patterns and presents a fairly expensive, but largely convincing multimedian called N75SF. Find out where the strengths and weaknesses of the 17 inch device are in our review.

This is the point at which we usually mumble about tinny audio and hollow base…but not this time. Bang & Olafson and the plug-in subwoofer give full-bodied audio, and even though max volume could be louder, the Asus N75SF is up there on the audio podium with the Dell XPS 17 and Toshiba Qosmio.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Incorporated, a Taiwanese multinational company, produces motherboards, graphics cards, optical drives, PDAs, computer monitors, notebook computers, servers, networking products, mobile phones, computer cases, computer components, and computer cooling systems. The company's 2007 revenues reached US$6.9 billion. ASUS also produces components for other manufacturers. The Eee PC initiated the netbook boom in 2008.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M:
As the successor to the GeForce GT 445M, the GT 555M is available in many different versions based on different chips (GF106, GF116, GF108) with different graphics memory (128 Bit, 192 Bit, DDR3, GDDR5) and varying core speeds.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
2630QM: Fast Quad-core processor based on the Sandy Bridge architecture with an integrated graphics card and dual-channel DDR3 memory controller.
17.3: Meanwhile the 17 inch display size is a more frequently offered standard format for desktop-replacements. The DTR-laptops can't be carried easily, need much energy but on the other side texts can be read easily and high resolutions are no problem. DTR mainly are intended for stationary usage on desks, where the weight and the energy need are unimportant.

3.67 kg:
This laptop is heavy below average, compared with the average of notebooks. Therefore especially desktop replacements fit in this class of weight.
3.7 kg:
87.67%: This is a good rating above average. Nevertheless you should not forget, that 10-15% of all notebook-models get a better rating.
