Amazon Kindle Fire to get Hulu Plus access

Kindle Fire to be even more than just an e-reader at launch

The launch of the Kindle Fire is only days away, but Amazon is set to preload it with as many useful features as possible.

The online retailer announced Friday its plans to integrate Hulu Plus into the Kindle Fire right on launch day.

Currently, the Kindle Fire will have support for Netflix, access to Amazon’s music and video stores and the social network game Zynga out of the box. Having Hulu under its belt will only boost the Fire’s multimedia capabilities against the competition. Barnes and Noble’s Nook Color and Vizio’s VTAB1008 are two other tablets with official Hulu Plus support. The service will cost users $7.99 a month.

The 7-inch Amazon Kindle Fire is slated for a November 15th launch at only $200. Pre-order numbers and analysts in particular are having high hopes for the device.
