Notion Ink, the Indian company that designs tablets PCs and other computing products, had first announced its prototype Adam tablet on December 18, 2009. Nearly over a year from that event, the company is now in a position to ship the tablet. As per earlier plans, the tablet was supposed to be shipping on the 11th of January 2011. However that could not materialize owing to delays in getting the FCC to approve the Adam tablet.
The 10-inch Adam tablet comes powered an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor. It features a custom user interface and an optional Pixel Qi display. Notion Ink has claimed that it will start printing labels the 17th of January and will commence shipping the tablet on the 19th, to customers who have pre-ordered. And for those who have not ordered yet, Notion Ink plans to open up a second round of pre-orders soon.
