Acer unveils the 10.1 inch Iconia Tab A200

Acer releases its latest next generation tab with pre-installed Honeycomb 3.2 and with a different user interface

The next generation Android Tablet from Acer is on its way to the market. The 10.1inch Iconia Tab A200 will be available in the market with the pre-installed Android Honeycomb 3.2. It will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.0 by January of 2012 as promised by Acer.

The Iconia Tab comes with a 10.1 inch screen and is powered by 1GHz dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 chip and packs a choice of 8GB or 16GB of Storage capacity. Although the SD card option is also available which helps you even extend the storage capacity.

This model is equipped with a 2MP front facing webcam. For connectivity it has 802.11n Wi-Fi. Tell not much has been revealed as what will be the price for this particular tab, but they did mention one thing and that is, it will be shipped to only selected countries.

Apart from all these this tab has a unique User Interface which is quite different from the other Google OS. In the operating system Google has overlayed the OS with ring, a circular interface which seems a bit similar to UI widgets, Acer has released on its past notebooks.

This tablet weighs about a 1.58pounds and is about .48inches thick.
