Acer unveils Aspire 16 AI laptops with up to OLED display, 32GB RAM, and 27-hour battery across Intel, AMD, and Snapdragon models

Acer has officially taken the wraps off its new Aspire 16 AI series, which comes with three processor options across Intel Core Ultra, AMD Ryzen AI, and Snapdragon X platforms. All models share a large 16-inch chassis, LPDDR5X RAM, and AI-focused feature sets, but they differ in performance, display quality, and connectivity.
The Intel-powered Aspire 16 AI (A16-52M/52MT) comes with up to Core Ultra 7 258V CPUs paired with Arc Graphics and a TDP-optimized battery life of up to 26 hours. The AMD variant (A16-61M/61MT) uses Ryzen AI 7 350 or AI 5 340 processors, coupled with Radeon 860M or 840M graphics. The Snapdragon model (A16-11M/11MT) is built on the new Oryon CPU and Adreno GPU, with claimed battery endurance reaching 27 hours for video playback.
Display options vary between models. The Intel and AMD variants feature up to 16-inch OLED WUXGA+ panels with 120 Hz refresh rates and 500 nits of brightness. The Qualcomm variant skips OLED, instead opting for LCD WUXGA displays with either 100% sRGB or 45% NTSC color support.
All three support up to 32 GB LPDDR5X memory and 1 TB PCIe Gen4 SSD storage, with microSD expansion. I/O is consistent across the range, with USB 3.2 Type-A, USB-C, HDMI 2.1, and a MicroSD slot, but the Intel model adds two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a dedicated headphone jack.
Across the board, users get a 65 Wh battery, Wi-Fi 6E or 7 (depending on chipset), and Windows 11. Acer also equips all models with its AI-powered features like PurifiedVoice, LiveArt, and Copilot+ Hotkey. The Intel and AMD units include Microsoft's Pluton security chip and facial recognition, while the Qualcomm model leans on basic Windows Hello support.
The Aspire 16 AI Snapdragon variant launches in July 2025 starting at €749 ($835), while the AMD and Intel models will follow in August for €999 ($1,113) and €1,049 ($1,169) respectively.
