XNote: ChatGPT powered Smart Notebook raises over US$200,000 on Kickstarter
The XNote has entered the final few hours of its Kickstarter campaign. Not affiliated with the social media service formerly known as Twitter, XNote is a smart pen, an adapted notebook and a mobile app. As one, they can digitise handwritten notes or mirror them on a paired smartphone.
According to XNote, its smart pen connects to a paired smartphone via Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 (BLE 5.0), which then synchronises stored data on servers using SHA-256 encryption. Additionally, XNote will automatically detect and categorise tasks, as well as calendar appointments. Moreover, the company has integrated multi-language support, with 53 languages supported at the time of publication.
Furthermore, XNote hopes to distinguish its package from others with various AI functions, including the option of creating summaries using ChatGPT. Unfortunately, XNote ties these features to the XNote Premium package, which costs US$9 per month or US$59 per year as a launch special. By contrast, an XNote currently runs to US$179 before shipping, which includes the XNote Smart Pen, XNote Notebook, Charging Cable, a pack of five ink refills and a one month XNote AI Premium subscription.
