Vertu’s products, including smartphones, are mostly known for its luxury quality and premium materials. The technical aspect of the devices has always been of a little less importance for the British company than making them a status symbol via meticulous, impeccable craftmanship. This might change with Vertu’s new device apparently slowly making its way towards launch.
Result database of the popular mobile benchmark, Geekbench, has often been a good way to spot new devices that are only being internally tested by their manufacturers. This time it’s Vertu’s smartphone codenamed V06 that has come into the spotlights. And it looks like the British have quite a powerful handset in store.
The Geekbench database unveils that Vertu V06 is going to be powered by the Snapdragon 810 processor accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and will run Android 5.1.1 out of the box.
Unfortunately, the processor, memory and operating system are the only things we know about the upcoming Vertu’s phone at this point. No photos are available, either. We can only speculate about the price, which will definitely not be low, as Vertu’s phones are usually priced at least at $8000.
