Amazon has discounted two Citizen Promaster dive watches: the solar-powered BN0151-09L is 50% off at $199, well below its $288 average, while the automatic Fugu NY0136-52L drops 23% to $336. Both are ISO 200m certified.

If a proper dive watch has been on your list, Amazon is currently discounting two solid options from Citizen's Promaster lineup — one solar-powered and very affordable, one automatic and somewhat more serious.

Citizen Promaster BN0151-09L - $199 (was $395)

The BN0151-09L is one of the most consistently recommended entry-level dive watches on the market, and at $199 it's hard to argue with. It runs on Citizen's Eco-Drive calibre E168 — a solar-powered movement that never needs a battery change, with a six-month power reserve from a full charge. It's ISO 6425 certified and water resistant to 200 metres, which means it's a legitimate diver rather than just a dive-styled watch. The 42 mm stainless case comes with a blue polyurethane strap, and at just 12 mm thick it is surprisingly light for its size. It holds a 4.7-star rating across nearly 9,000 Amazon reviews — quite rare for any watch at this price.

Price tracker data from camelcamelcamel shows an average Amazon selling price of $288.26 since 2015. This puts the current $199 figure nearly $89 below average — though not the all-time low of $119.99 from October 2020.

Citizen Promaster Fugu NY0136-52L - $336 (was $437.50)

The Fugu is a whole different animal. It's an automatic — no battery, no solar, just a self-winding mechanical movement — and its design goes back to a 1989 Citizen dive watch, with a serrated bezel inspired by the Japanese fugu fish. It's also ISO compliant with 200 metres of water resistance, but carries a day-date display and a full stainless bracelet instead of the rubber strap on the BN0151. At 4.4 stars across 201 reviews it's newer and less proven, sure, but the 23% discount brings it $106 below its $442 average selling price. Its all-time low is $285.60, so there's room for patience if you're not in a rush.

Both are available now via Amazon - check out the Eco-Drive model here, and the more expensive automatic dive watch here.
