There could be 90million tablet users in the US by 2014

In a recent research from the eMarketer they have predicted that 90 million of the American population will own a tablet

With the release of the Tablets in the electronics market they have grown very fast. Its production and sales have significantly increased in the last two years. This also shows the popularity is really increasing among the consumers.

Now according to a recent estimation made by an online marketing firm called the eMarketer, the number of tablet users will rise to 90 million by 2014 in America. However, the number of users will be less during early 2012 but will eventually lead to 90 million marks by 2014, which will make it about 35.6 percent internet users. This will be about one third of the online consumers using the tablet by 2014.

It is being estimated now that 33.7 million Americans will be using a tablet. Comparing to last year when iPad was launched, this figure is about 158.6 percent increase of the sales. It also makes about 14.5 percent of the total internet population.

The major part of this market shifting towards the tablet came after the launch of Apple’s iPad, on January 2010. It might have provided a great experience for the gadget geeks and this ultra-portable new device started to capture the market soon.

Apple still owns about 83 percent of the market share and will continue to lead the market till the forecast period. According to the eMarketer’s analysis and survey Apple’s iPad’s market share in 2014 will be reduced to 68 percent.
