As some dedicated fans and tinkerers may already know, there are two separate organizations from Great Britain that work on the popular single-board computer Raspberry Pi (from US$96 on Amazon). The engineers  at the "Raspberry Pi Trading" organization for example work on the hardware, software, and develop add-on boards and new microcontrollers and power supplies for the Raspberry Pi.

The "Raspberry Pi Foundation" on the other hand organizes and manages numerous initiatives which are mostly concerned with the educational use of the affordable single-board computer. It has now been officially announced that these two parts of the business will have separate websites going forward. RaspberryPi.com is the place to go for all enthusiasts and tinkerers who would like to inform themselves about the software and hardware of the Raspberry Pi, which includes technical instructions, a forum and access to the official documentation.

RaspberryPi.org on the other hand offers details on the aforementioned charitable activities of the Raspberry Pi Foundation. This new separation will also be reflected on the official Raspberry Pi social media accounts.
