TCL 950 has been around for a while since it already made its appearance on GFXBench a few months ago. Now, the handset made by the same company that produces the handsets sold under the Alcatel brand has just been spotted on the website of Chinese regulatory agency TENAA.
Alcatel recently unveiled a $400 USD smartphone, the $400 USD Idol 4S. While that handset has a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with 2,560X1,440 pixels, its other specs are below the upcoming TCL 950. The TCL has the same screen size, but only offers 1,920X1,080 pixels. However, it is expected to launch sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage, as well as a 20 MP main camera.
Unfortunately, the price and launch date of the TCL 950 are unknown for now. Even more, this handset might hit the market using a different name, so there is still a lot to find out about it. We will keep an eye on it and report as soon as we discover anything new, so stay tuned.
