SuperBiiz says the Acer Iconia A100 is in stock for $349.99
The Acer Iconia Tab A100 is already available with a few online retailers – SuperBiiz being one of them. The site lists the 8GB Blue tablet for $349.99. There is no mention of the red variant as we have till October for it to launch. Also for now you will have to content with the 8GB internal storage.
Acer did well to cover its Iconia Tab A100 product line with release of the new 7” Iconia Tab A100 tablet. This is in addition to an already popular A500 that comes in a 10.1” package. The A100 is powered by an NVIDIA dual-core Tegra 250 processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM and 8GB of flash memory. The 7” screen comes equipped with WSVGA type and 1024 x 600 pixels of resolution. Acer also throws in an integrated Sound card, Built-in Speaker and Microphone, 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN; Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, 1x USB 2.0 Port; 1x micro USB 2.0 Port; 1x micro HDMI Port; 1x Microphone-in; 1x Headphone-out, Micro SD/ Micro SDHC card reader that supports up to 32GB of external storage.
There are the standard 5MP back and 2MP front cameras. The 2-cell 1530mAh battery promises 5 hours of juice which seems like a fair claim. The 0.36kg tablet has a dimension of 7.7 x 4.6 x 0.5 inch.
There is a first though – the A100 is probably the first 7” tablet to run Android 3.2 when only the Xoom and Transformer got it till now.
