Deal | Sony's highly-rated ANC headphones at their near historic low

The Sony WH-1000XM5 noise-cancelling headphones have dropped to their near-historical low on Amazon following a substantial $150 discount off the MSRP of $399.99. They are available in black, silver, and smoky pink at this price.
The WH-1000XM5 is widely considered among the best noise-cancelling headphones available by many reviewers, and Rtings says they have "a fantastic ANC performance" thanks to eight microphones and Auto NC Optimizer, allowing the headphones to dynamically adjust to changing environments.
The Sony headphones support Hi-Res Audio music playback using the LDAC codec over Bluetooth connections, with support for 24-bit, 96 kHz transmissions. Additionally, compressed music is upscaled by DSEE Extreme AI technology to restore lost high-range sound, according to Sony.
Nonetheless, the WH-1000XM5 does not support a lossless wireless music codec, so it cannot reproduce the full range of frequencies in an uncompressed DSD512 or PCM music file. Also, the XM5 is being cleared out for the newer XM6 (also sold here on Amazon), and the latter has an even better 9.7 noise-cancellation rating versus 9.1 for the XM5 in Rtings reviews.
The top-end Sony model comes with useful features, including a 3.5 mm jack for wired use, touch-free Speak-to-Chat with automatic music muting, automatic music playback with Wear-to-Play based on locations or activities, and headphone control by chatting with voice assistants.
