When Engadget first leaked the Sony S1 tablet, the tablet was said to be available by at least September of this year. Now, blog site thisismynext has claimed to have seen internal documents on the availability of the anticipated Sony Android tablet.

The source indicates that Sony stores in the UK will begin taking S1 pre-orders starting September 1st. The tablet will reportedly be heavily marketed, but official prices are still up in the air. There is currently no word on the launch windows for the rest of the world.

Unfortunately, there was no mention on the availability of the S2 tablet, either. Whether or not the second Sony tablet will launch alongside the S1 is still unknown, but it is looking less and less likely.

The Sony S1 tablet includes a 9.4-inch screen, Android Honeycomb and a unique curved design. At least 4 different models of the S1 may hit the U.S.
