The original Galaxy Tab was a 7” tablet that is still the most popular tablet for the Korean. Now Netbooknews reports of a new 7” AMOLED screen that might be in production soon. This screen might have a slightly higher maximum native resolution than the original at 1024 x 768 pixels. Being an AMOLED screen it will inherit the same magnificent brightness and sharpness using less battery power than your ordinary LCD screens.
Could this mean there might be a second generation 7” Galaxy Tab in the pipeline? There certainly are rumors that such a device will hit the market in September, but no details of the same are available right now, apart from the fact that it might sport Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread or the latest Honeycomb (Android 3.2).
Samsung took a new turn as far as the looks of the newer Galaxy Tabs, and if the next 7” Tab sports the same look – we surely are looking at an oversized S2!
