Samsung unveiled the Tizen OS-powered Gear S2 smartwatch back at IFA 2015 and, although this wearable can be already pre-ordered from various retailers, availability on the US market has been unknown so far. For example, Best Buy Canada accepts pre-orders for the Gear S2 (about $300 USD) and Gear S2 Classic (roughly $325 USD), both being listed as going on sale on October 2.
According to an SEA Training video, the Bluetooth-only Gear S2 will hit Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and AT&T stores on Friday, October 2. The speaker also unveiled that Sprint will hot have this Tizen smartwatch in stores at launch, but this does not mean the carrier will not add the device to its portfolio later. Since the video has been removed in the meantime, it is very likely that the above was official information that should not have been disclosed yet.
The 3G version of Samsung Gear S2 will hit the US market on another Friday - November 6. While both T-Mobile and Verizon announced their plans to carry the device, nothing is official yet. Pricing information still has to be announced as well, but we will keep you posted as we hear more so stay tuned.
