Samsung refreshed its Galaxy Watch series with new models this summer featuring an updated SoC, brighter displays, and expanded health monitoring capabilities.

Amazon has dropped the price of select Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 models to their lowest ever. The 40 mm Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 in Silver is priced at $249, a 29% savings off its MSRP, while the 44 mm Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 in Graphite is priced at $279, a 26% discount.

The 44 mm Galaxy Watch 8 LTE model was tested by Notebookcheck and is similar to the non-LTE models on sale. The reviewer found the Watch 8 to shine with its brighter OLED display, which is capable of reaching approximately 3,000 nits, and smooth operation thanks to an updated SoC.

As cons, the Watch 8 requires daily recharging, and its extensive range of health monitoring functions are only available when paired with a Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
