Samsung's new mid-range smartphone comes to India with specs befitting its price tag. The Asian subcontinent is the first region outside China to receive the device.

Samsung's Galaxy C7 Pro, originally released earlier this year for the Chinese market, has made its way to India. The mid-range device will be available for purchase very soon, featuring specs well in line with its price.

The handset sports a large 5.7-inch screen with a 1080p FullHD display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 626 2.2 GHz octa-core processor and 4 GB of RAM. It includes 64 GB of internal storage, expandable up to 256 GB with a microSD card. 16-megapixel front and rear cameras take care of its photo-capturing capabilities. Probably the only downside is the phone's non-removable Li-Ion battery, which otherwise is rated at a respectable 3300 mAh.

The Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro runs Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 and comes in three colors: Gold, Pink Gold, and Dark Blue. According to Samsung India VP for online business Sandeep Singh Arora, the Galaxy C7 Pro "is a smartphone which ... suits best to millennials" due to its slim body and high quality cameras.

When the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro releases tomorrow, April 11, it will cost Rs27,990, the equivalent of about US $433.
